Gary began working with Orton Insurance full time in January of 2011 as an agent and administrative assistant. At age 16, he began helping part time running group medical quotes and acquired exceptional skill in group benefits. In 2008 he received his health and life insurance licenses and in 2011 became a partnering agent.
He graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I) in December of 2010 with a Bachelor of Business Management Degree, with emphasis in finance. He is a member and current president of the local chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). He is also a Certified Benefit Advisor with Health2Business- a company dedicated to finding affordable, local, and sustainable solutions for Employer Health plans.
His major focus is employee and company benefit programs as well as individual insurance health, life, disability, dental, and vision insurance. A main motivation for him is the satisfaction that he has truly helped someone, whether he made money on the deal or not. He is licensed in Idaho, Utah, Oregon, and Arizona.
Gary is the husband of Melinda Orton and they have five children.
