Roscoe began his career in financial services in 1983 after teaching band and choir in the public schools for several years. He wanted to help as many people as possible reach their financial goals while protecting themselves against unexpected life events. That mission has not changed. Orton Insurance has deep and varied experience in assisting individuals, businesses, and families with their insurance needs. Whether providing medical, dental, vision, life, Medicare or disability insurance for groups or individuals, their motto is: “We insure people.”
He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) as well as the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU). Both organizations help educate agents and lobby local, state, and federal governments to make sure laws benefit our clients and allow us to continue to serve them best. He is also a Certified Benefit Advisor with Health2Business- a company dedicated to finding affordable, local, and sustainable solutions for Employer Health plans.
Roscoe is the husband of Kathleen Orton, who has been the office manager and general cheerleader for Orton Insurance since the beginning. They are the parents of six children, and grandparents to more than thirty grandchildren at last count. Roscoe is active in church, industry, and civic organizations. For fun, he likes to spend time with Kathy, children, and grandchildren, watch old movies, ski, bike, and read.
Roscoe is licensed to sell group and individual Medical, Dental, Life, Disability, Vision, Annuity and Medicare Insurance. He is licensed in Idaho, Utah, Oregon, California, and North Dakota. He holds a CLU (Certified Life Underwriter) designation which is focused on the proper use of insurance products to protect a family or business’s financial well-being.
